There are things that resist being spoken; things that live in the body before they find the mouth, they stay in the tightness of the chest or in the dreams that stay with you past morning, they inhabit the stories we inherited without being told them.
Writing can reach those places, not as a cure. But as a companion. A way of turning toward what is difficult with curiosity instead of avoidance. A way of making meaning, slowly, honestly, in your own words.
This is The Ink Collective: a podcast about poetry therapy, bibliotherapy, and the healing power of words.
Here, we gather practitioners, researchers, writers and anyone drawn to the intersection of language and healing. We talk about what therapeutic writing actually is, how it works, and what it can hold. And sometimes, I come to you alone, with a topic, a practice, a question worth sitting with.
I’m María Ortega García, a therapeutic writing practitioner and trauma-informed educator. And this is a space where words do more than communicate.
They change us.
